Community guidelines

Make real experience visible, and get concrete questions answered. By taking part you agree to respect others, protect privacy, and stand behind what you post.

Last updated: September 5, 2026

1. How we talk to each other

  • Be real: share what you actually went through, with real data and verifiable results. Do not fabricate identities, revenue, case studies or user feedback.
  • Be specific: when asking, include the context, environment, reproduction steps, error messages and what you already tried.
  • Be respectful: argue with ideas and methods, never attack, humiliate, discriminate against, harass or pile on a person.
  • Be helpful: give reasons and context. When a problem is solved, post the outcome and accept the answer that worked.

2. Posting quality content

  • Titles should state the question or the conclusion. Avoid clickbait, vague cries for help and duplicate posts.
  • Pick the right category and tags. Cite the source of any article, code or data you quote, and never pass off someone else’s work as your own.
  • If you write with AI assistance, verify the facts yourself and take responsibility for the final text. Bulk-posting unverified, low-quality content is not allowed.
  • Strip passwords, keys, cookies, order numbers, ID documents, exact addresses and unredacted logs before you publish.
  • When updating an old post, keep enough context intact. Do not edit in a way that distorts a discussion that already happened.

3. Showing your product and commercial promotion

  • You may introduce your own product, service or open-source project, as long as you disclose your interest and bring experience or methods relevant to the community.
  • Discount links, invite links, affiliate links and paid partnerships must be clearly labelled. Never dress them up as neutral recommendations.
  • No bulk DMs, flooding, engagement bait, fake reviews, pump-and-dump calls, pyramid schemes, fraud, or funnels built to dodge moderation.
  • Job, partnership and trade posts must state the terms and the risks. The community does not vouch for either side or guarantee any funds.

4. Prohibited content

  • Anything that breaks applicable law, or assists fraud, intrusion, account theft, malware distribution or other harm.
  • Leaking, selling or abusing someone else’s personal data, including doxxing and publishing private messages without consent.
  • Hate, discrimination, sexual content, threats of violence, encouragement of self-harm, personal attacks or sustained harassment.
  • Content that infringes copyright, trademarks, trade secrets or other lawful rights.
  • Impersonation, manipulating votes or metrics, re-registering to evade a penalty, and anything else that breaks how the community works.

5. Accounts and security

  • Register with an email address or third-party account you are entitled to use, and keep your credentials safe.
  • Do not sell or share accounts, and do not impersonate a person, a company or an official identity.
  • If you find an account anomaly, a vulnerability or a data-leak risk, stop spreading exploitable details publicly and contact an admin as soon as possible.
  • If you are restricted, muted or banned, do not use a new account to get around it.

6. Reporting and moderation

You can report a problem from any post, reply or profile. Admins weigh the content, its context, past behaviour and potential impact.

  • Depending on the case we may warn, restrict editing, hide, delete, lock, unfeature, mute or ban.
  • Clear illegality, fraud, malicious disclosure or an urgent safety risk may be acted on immediately, without prior notice.
  • Moderation records and the evidence needed to investigate abuse, handle appeals and keep the community safe may be retained.
  • If you believe a decision was wrong, email support@bbs.ss with your account, the relevant links, the facts and your reasoning. Please do not resubmit repeatedly or harass anyone.

7. Changes to these guidelines

We update these guidelines as the product, the risks and the legal requirements change. Significant changes are noted in the page date or an announcement. Continuing to use the service after an update means you are aware of the current rules.
